Volunteer Committees
At Runway Theatre, we we believe in the power of community and one of the ways we develop this is through our volunteer committee program. When you’re ready to journey closer to the heart of your creative home, a committee is a way to start. Check out our current committees below and complete this interest form to learn more! Please note, a current membership is required for committee participation.
Donations & Sponsorship Committee
If you have a network, want to grow your network, or just like to network…Runway needs you! The Donation & Sponsorship Committee will meet on a quarterly basis to ideate and research potential large-scale donors and sponsors for each season, special events, and more. Committee members will solicit donations and sponsorships under the guidance of the Vice President of the Board of Directors.
Play Selection Committee
If you love reading scripts and solving puzzles, you’ll love the Play Selection Committee which meets from late summer through spring to research, read, and analyze potential scripts for Runway Theatre. As their final work product each year, the Play Selection Committee prepares a proposed season and presents this to the Board of Directors. The Play Selection Committee is currently co-chaired by a Hall of Fame member and a member of the Board of Directors.
Runway Advocate Committee
Are you the “hostess with the mostess”? If so, the Runway Advocate Committee is for you! We’re looking for welcoming individuals who would like to orient new patrons to Runway. They’ll learn about Runways rich history, how to articulate our mission and values, and act as production ushers! This committee will meet at regular intervals throughout the year. This committee is co-led by the Directors of Marketing and Engagement from the Board of Directors.
Volunteer Guild
If you’re already a Runway Volunteer but you want to help drive the future of volunteerism at Runway, we’d love for you to join Runway’s Volunteer Guild. This committee will ensure volunteers are educated, informed, and appreciated, year-round. The guild will meet as needed to accomplish each season’s body of work. The guild is led by the Director of Engagement and other members of the Board of Directors.
