Our 39th Season: A Storied Life

Through stories, we share important events and information with others. We create emotional connection and we understand each other more deeply. This season, we'll explore lives lived worthy of the tales told long after our heroes and heroines have passed. From singers with varying degrees of talent to royalty of different natures, our characters come from different times and stations in life but share a common sense of adventure, a drive for significance, and a desire to be remembered. We'll pay homage to their chronicled capers and conundrums as we journey from the twelfth-century to the modern age, pausing to laugh with, sometimes at, the moments we encounter from their storied lives.

  • Ken Ludwig's Lend Me A Tenor

    September 22-October 8, 2023

It's 1934 at the Cleveland Grand Opera, where the tickets have been sold, the stage set, and the thirty-piece orchestra rehearsed. All that's missing is one world-famous Italian tenor. When he appears, so does drama at levels usually reserved for the stage, which in turn plays on the nerves of the company's very high strung manager who enlists his skittish but determined assistant to save the day. This madcap comedy navigates from one catastrophe to the next including crazy costumes and loads of slamming doors. In the end, two men share the role of a lifetime to bring the big night to its grand, farcical finale.
